COVINGTON - Effie Myers McDonald, 84, of Covington, a member of several clubs in the area, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Covington Manor Health Care Center. She was a member of Pythian Sisters, Book Lovers Club, Mu Epsilon, Troy-Wabash Home Ec Club and was a member and past president of Federated Clubs. She also was a member of Wallace Lutheran Church. Mrs. McDonald was born at Wallace on July 29, 1892, a daughter of Ransom and Mary Jane Clore Myers. She married Everett Homer McDonald on Sept. 20, 1923. Surviving are a son, Homer C. of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Leland (Virginia) Fee of Auburn; a sister, Ruby Ricker of Wallace; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in DeVerter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.y. - jlr

Effie Myers McDonald, 84, of Covington, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 1977 at the Covington Manor Health Center, where she had resided approximately four years. She was born July 29, 1892 at Wallace, Ind., the daughter of Ransom and Mary Jane Clore Myers. She was married September 20, 1923 in Fountain County to Everett Homer McDonald who preceded her in death on December 10, 1965.
  Survivors include one son, Homer C. McDonald of Hillsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Leland (Virginia) Fee of Auburn, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Ricker of Wallace; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
  She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
  She was a member of Pythian Sisters, Booklovers Club, Mu Epsilon, Troy-Wabash Home Ec., Wabash Valley Garden Club, and past president of Federated Clubs, a member of Wallace Lutheran Church.
  Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington with Robert Miller, officiating. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
